After getting my IgG and IgE food sensitivity testing results back, I realized just how much my body had been trying to tell me. For years I’d brushed off my bloating, fatigue, and brain fog as “just stress” or “a busy mom thing.” But once my imaging showed intestinal inflammation, I knew I needed to focus on healing from the inside out.
Understanding the Connection
Our gut does so much more than digest food—it’s deeply connected to our immune system, hormones, and even mental clarity. When it’s inflamed or overworked, it can affect everything from how we sleep to how we think. My results showed several food sensitivities that were keeping my immune system on high alert. By giving my body a break from those foods, I could finally start the healing process.
The Gut Reset Plan
Working with The Wellness Way in Green Bay, I created a plan to calm inflammation and rebuild my gut health naturally. Here’s what that looks like for me right now:
🥣 Eliminating trigger foods — For now, I’ve cut out eggs, dairy, wheat, and yeast. These showed up strongly on my IgG results, so I’m letting my body rest from the constant immune reaction.
🥦 Focusing on gentle, healing foods — I’m leaning into meals with cabbage, spinach, red potatoes, beef stock, and lean proteins. These are easy on my system and still nourishing for my family.
🍗 Prioritizing protein and vegetables — I’m aiming for balanced meals that include high-quality protein, colorful veggies, and nutrient-dense ingredients to keep my energy steady throughout the day.
💊 Supporting digestion with supplements — I’ve added digestive enzymes and probiotics to help my body break down nutrients and restore balance.
💧 Prioritizing hydration — Drinking more filtered water and herbal teas like chamomile and peppermint helps flush toxins and soothe inflammation.
🌿 Managing stress — I’m learning that stress plays a big role in gut health. Taking quiet walks, journaling, and getting more sunlight are small but powerful ways to support my healing.

Early Wins and Reflections
It’s only been a few weeks since starting this journey, but I’ve already noticed a difference. The bloating is lighter, my focus is sharper, and that constant afternoon crash has started to fade. I’m not claiming perfection—healing takes time—but I finally feel like I’m moving in the right direction.
Why Gut Healing Matters
When we start listening to our bodies, everything changes. For me, gut healing isn’t about restriction—it’s about reconnection. It’s learning what truly nourishes me, what drains me, and how I can bring my system back into balance naturally.
This is just the beginning of my journey. Next, I’ll be sharing more about the supplements and nutritional support I’m using to restore energy, improve digestion, and strengthen my immune system. Stay tuned — that post will go live later this week!
