For awhile now, I’ve shared pieces of my story here, through blog posts about foster care, blended family life, healing after hard seasons, and learning how to love with both tenderness and boundaries. Writing has always been a place where I can slow down, reflect, and make sense of experiences that didn’t come with a roadmap.
But some stories want to be told out loud.
That’s where Anchored in Love was born.
What Anchored in Love Is (and Isn’t)
This podcast isn’t about perfect parenting, expert advice, or having everything figured out. It’s about lived experience, the kind that’s shaped in real time while raising kids, navigating complex family dynamics, and rebuilding after seasons that change you.
Anchored in Love is for:
- Families touched by foster care or adoption
- Blended families learning how to show up for everyone involved
- Parents navigating boundaries, repair, and emotional safety
- Anyone rebuilding after a season that felt heavy or disorienting
If you’ve ever felt like love had to be strong and gentle at the same time, this space was created with you in mind.
Why a Podcast When I Already Have a Blog?
Some things are easier to say than to write.
The blog will always be home for deeper reflection and permanence. The podcast is its companion, a place where emotion, pauses, and honesty can exist without being polished. Many of the conversations you’ll hear on the podcast connect directly to posts I’ve already written here, just shared in a more conversational, human way.
Think of it as the same heart, just spoken instead of typed.
The First Episodes
The first three episodes of Anchored in Love are now live, and they reflect the foundation of what this space will hold:
Honest conversations about foster care and family complexity Reflections on boundaries, repair, and showing up when it’s hard Stories rooted in real life, not theory
They’re intentionally short, because I know life is full. These episodes are meant to fit into car rides, walks, quiet moments, or folded into the background of everyday routines.
Where to Listen
You can listen to Anchored in Love on Apple Podcasts or Spotify and new episodes will continue to build on the themes you already find here on the blog.
An Invitation, Not an Expectation
If this podcast resonates with you, I’m grateful you’re here. If it’s not the right season, that’s okay too. This space will continue to grow slowly and intentionally, just like the stories behind it.
Thank you for reading, listening, and being part of a community that understands that love isn’t always easy, but it can still be steady 🩵
